The accommodation at Kemaman definitely is auntie Gee's sweet home - A double-stories link house, which is nice, fully renovated, warm, clean and tidy. The room comes with air conditioner, a double bed and a single bed, attached bathroom equipped with hot water, a dim-light and free-flow of RO drinking water. And the most important is Internet accessible that allows daddy and mummy logging into Facebook - Tiki Resort to collect money.....
Auntie Gee's car "PUTRA 633" managed to bring us from PJ to Kemaman safely and comfortably. However, auntie Gee decided to use her father car today. I liked auntie Gee's father car very much and left some lovely memory (vomit & urine) to mark "I'm being on this car", causing daddy and mummy to buy a Freeze to clean-up .
Orchid flower plant by auntie Gee's father and the fish pond by her mother.
Today we started with Kemaman local breakfast -
Curry noodle with a fish and kelopok keping and
Kemaman Kopi. Auntie Gee brought us to a small stall called Kedai Kopi
Tin Kam Leng, which located at behind of Kedai Perabot Hong Loong on main road. The stall was packed with locals and tourists to taste this Kemaman unique breakfast. It taste like Penang Hokkien / Prawn noodle. The Kemaman Kopi tastes slightly bitter. The famous Kemaman Kopi is from
Hai Peng Kopitiam.
Daddy mummy drank Kopi, I drank Milo.
After the breakfast, we went to Auntie Gee's father sundry shop to drink
fresh pandan coconut drinks. Auntie Gee's father gave me Vitagen and sweets. Our next attraction was
Kemasik Beach, about half hour drive from Kemaman. On the way to Kemasik Beach, we have passed by Auntie Gee's college that she obtained her Diploma -
Kolej TATi. The college is at the middle of nowhere - the reason of Auntie Gee could concentrate study and achieved good result.
Kemasik Beach is a small fishing village. We reached the beach about 11.30am, almost noon time. But, we could witness several fishermen back from catching fish, unloading their fish to the beach, selling fish and anchoring their boats.
The two iconic Rocks at Kemasik beach provides safe beach to anchor fishing boats. And a beautiful scenery for photo shooting
a pretty, energetic, care, helpful, generous young girl -
Auntie Gee. She is still single and available!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After strolling along the beach, we backed to car, washed our feet with RO water. Before turning back to main road, we stopped at a Malay stall to buy Auntie Gee's favorite
Pisang Goreng. Our next destination is
Kerteh. We took a rest at
Mesra Mall because the weather so hot, we wanted to cool down. There are Giant supermarket (they called TMC at Terengganu), branded retail outlets such as Toys R Us, Apple Donuts, Burger King, Starbucks, Secret Recipe, Popular bookstore, Factory Outlet and etc. There are also futsal court and bowling alley. The cinema is not yet opened. This Mesra Mall is built primary for the Petronas staffs. We took our lunch at food court -
Chicken rice and Char Siew rice. It is popular dish (many people ordered), halal and taste much much better than the Chicken Rice Shop.
After cooling down in Mesra Mall for about an hour, we continued our journey to have a look on
Petronas operations at Kerteh. It is overseeing the oil platform operations off the state's coast as well as petrochemicals production and crude oil refining. It is huge area and no photo shooting (
Why??? Don't know).
Next, we made a U-turn back to Kemaman. Auntie Gee drove us to
Awana Kijal Resort and then stopped at another Malay stall to buy
deep fried Sotong as sneak. We then drove pass a heavy industrial area, where Perwaja Steel factory located. We saw an oil platform docked at the coast.
We backed to Auntie Gee's father shop, refilled RO water and then proceed to our local food hunting -
Kemaman Kopi of Hai Peng and then
Keropok Lekor, Satar, Otak-otak and Pais. We reached at a Malay stall about 4pm. The stall was packed with people (
Must be famous, did not capture the stall name). We found a place to sit and ordered sepasang Satar, sepasang Otak-Otak, sepinggan Lekor and sepinggan Pais, and drink Kelapa Laut.
Next destination was
Cherating Beach. Mummy and daddy forgot to bring umbrella to the beach, thanked auntie Gee helped to blocked the sunlight.
At beginning, I scared of beach and waves. I was unable to stand firmly, but slowly getting use to it. And found it fun to play at beach !!!
It was 6pm, time to go back for dinner. Before leaving, we drove to the famous Club Med resort, but could not enter into the resort as they don't allow outsiders entering to their compound. Anyway, we discovered there is a
turtle sanctuary, beside of the Club Med. And we were very fortunate. We managed to visit the sanctuary at 6pm+ as it normally close at 5.30pm
The turtle sanctuary was our last attraction of this trip. Time to go back auntie Gee's sweet home. Her mom had cooked dinner for us. She cooked
鲍鱼猪肚汤,
猪脚醋 and
asam prawn. All dishes were very nice. And the drink was fresh pandan coconut drink. Thanked auntie Gee's mom.
